A Little Light Reading

One of my resolutions last year was to read more. I love reading and it's something that I felt I wasn't really having time to do. So I decided to make time and I kept a record of the books I read during the year. I would only record books that I finished and only ones that I hadn't read before. In the end, I read 44 books. I was hoping for 50, but I guess with the rereads and short stories and the like, it would be over that.

Anyway, I really enjoyed it and so I made this page to document the list, which I've tucked into the envelope on the layout. It's been great: lots of light lit with Agatha Christie, James Bond and Georgette Heyer making an appearance, some classics such as Portrait of a Lady, The Moonstone and The Great Gatsby and a new favourite author: Elizabeth Peters.

This year, I'm going to make an effort to read more of the unread books on my shelves. I have a terrible book-buying habit and so this should save me some money as well!

P.S. I've come to realise that misting is not really for me but inking is. Similarly, paint brushes are not for me, but paint dabbers are great! Good for masking and no wrinkling. Bring it!
